About This Spot

Tucked into the heart of Inman, Granny's Kitchen invites you into a world where mornings unfold slowly and the comfort of homemade food feels like a warm embrace. The moment you step inside, the pace eases, the familiar hum of friendly conversation filling the air, alongside the subtle aromas of freshly brewed coffee and skillet-cooked breakfast staples. It’s the kind of place where neighbors greet one another like family, and the rhythm of the day is set by the clink of coffee cups and the sizzle of grits on the stove.

This is a classic, cozy breakfast spot that holds onto a quiet charm you won’t find in bustling chains. The atmosphere is relaxed but attentive, where the welcoming smiles from the staff make you feel right at home, even if you're just passing through. Here, the food quietly carries the story — hearty, straightforward dishes served with thoughtful care. From soft biscuits slathered with butter to plates of eggs and grits that speak of Southern roots, each bite feels like a small, satisfying discovery.

Granny’s Kitchen thrives on simplicity in the best possible way. It’s a place where you can enjoy both the solitary comfort of a morning coffee or the easy laughter shared over waffles and Calabash chicken with friends and family. The modest setting and familiar faces encourage a moment to pause and savor the unpretentious joy of a good meal prepared with care.

While the bustle on weekend mornings hints at the spot’s local popularity, the overall mood remains unhurried, the kind that encourages you to slow down and soak in the small-town atmosphere. Whether you’re gathering for breakfast or a relaxed lunch, Granny’s Kitchen offers a genuine, heartfelt experience — a reminder that sometimes, the best meals come with the simplest pleasures and a touch of hometown warmth.

Great for breakfast in a nice mountain town. They also serve lunch. Nice people, good little hometown restaurant.

This little quaint place has the best food and service in 10 states! Awesome pancakes! Very reasonable prices. I will be back during my travels for sure

Ate here today, Saturday. Busy place, I can see why. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Gravy biscuit was wonderful. Service was great! Will definitely be back.

I had heard about this place through my wife so we went last Saturday. Great staff and they had a table for us without a wait. I found my omelette bland and lacking flavor. It was a sausage, and cheese omelette. Turns out, it was the sausage causing the bland flavor. On the other hand, the grits were wonderful. I'm going to go back and try bacon next time. Came back and found the bacon wonderful

You must try their Calabash Chicken! Light, flakey and truly delicious! Wow! Rhonda greets you with a big hello when entering...and Ronald the kindest, fun owner ever! Everyone including customers were great! I will be back eating more! Highly recommend!

Loved this place, very rustic looking. It's a great down home country diner with friendly waitresses and counter staff. Had 2 eggs over easy, grits, country ham with biscuits and gravy. It's was delicious and perfectly prepared and presented. For 3 of us to have a good hearty breakfast with coffee (and extra biscuits) was just over 30$ (you can't beat that with a stick).

The PERFECT quintessential American diner. Great food at a great price. No frills, just breakfast and service with a smile. Highly recommended.
